IH-555S-SBG - 21oz Selvedge Denim Slim Cut Jeans - Superblack (Fades To Grey)

Really want a pair of these. But I have the No Lots. Are these fast faders compared to the OD stuff? I don't know which I'd rather wear as my daily black jeans. Also considering the 666 version.

[mention]GardenState [/mention] 21oz OD are probably the slowest faders in the IH catalogue. I’d recommend putting in the work on a single pair since it will take a while for the OD to show it’s true beauty. The SBG compared to the 21oz OD are much quicker faders over time. It’s two very different blacks so you can have some variety of black hues in the mix. The SBG are a great compliment to the OD denim

It does but it takes more time as the sulphur dying seems to make the denim a little tighter and rougher at start.

Wore my SBGs outside in the Florida heat today and I have to say the 21oz fabric is understandably one of the best Iron Heart offers because it felt far lighter than lighter oz pants I was wearing the prior day. At some point I really need to get the standard 21oz indigo in the 666. However, right now I think I am going to get as many wears on this pair as I can (before my ADHD kicks in).
Black denim really is the most versatile type of denim you can have in your closet and this SBG fabric is amazing. I swear that after one day my keys are already leaving fades in the front pocket.

Mine are just being worn casually now, I might give them another few months of work over the winter but it will end up with more repairs being needed after.

That's great. I have a question: do restocks have the same sizing as before? I note that under the current sizes for the IH-555S-SBG, I am likely to fall between a tag 30/31. Obviously I could ask for a 'bigger' 30 but am not sure that I will need to go down this path if the restock have slightly different sizing.
Also, how do I justify a spend to 'she who must be obeyed' on both a pair of SBGs and the upcoming slubby 555s?

There may be enough variation in the new batch to warrant a change in the table. If so it will be announced here.
As for the justification, it is up to each individual how low they will go, in terms of smoke and mirrors and use of the dark arts.
