@mclaincausey oh damn. This is really cool. The complete show too! Such an iconic era/ performance for our boys!

Caught up with some new stuff on my way home and was surprised to see the algorithm suggested Caramel - it might be worth another listen but definitely the release that caught my attention was this from Web Web (featuring JJ Whitefield on guitar). I think it might go down well with some regulars here.

Been dipping back into this the last few weeks.

@Jett129 Reminds me a little of the Stray Cats, another fab trio! I'd also add Taste, The Jam and Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble to the list - I've also been lucky enough to catch GA-20 live a couple of times in recent years. 2 guitars and drums. The lineup has changed recently, with Pat the singer splintering off to form another trio.
...and the John Mayer Trio, I can't believe it's coming up to 20 years since their album Try came out - time flies!
-
I didn't realise GA-20 has lost two members recently @IH-GARY
Be interested to see the new line-up

@Bridger There is new stuff up on the digital platforms from the latest GA-20 line up. Cody Nilson is a top notch replacement for Pat. Pat’s new band Canyon Lights have released a great tune as well - the line up is the more traditional guitar/bass/drums set up

@SKT I was indifferent to JM until Continuuim came out, the Hendrix licks totally hooked me. I caught JM3 live in Toronto, they were incredible, the musicianship was next level. The intro to WDYTIW gives me the chills every time I hear it.
Same with the opening riff to this one by Cry of Love: -
Any Aesop Rock fans out there?
Possibly my favorite hip hop artist. Gave this album a listen for the first time today. Maybe not his best…but damn if it ain’t really good!!

@Mizmazzle yeah! Labor days and all that back in the day. Atmosphere’s God Loves Ugly from that era is a classic for me too…
-
@sophisto000 yeah man. Labor Days is a classic for sure. I think my favorite of his is None Shall Pass.
