Our super-slim tapered cut 21oz indigo selvedge denim jeans which have undergone a bit of "black magic" - overdyed twice using two different black dyes and two different methods - resulting in a very black finish that will fade very slowly.  Don't ask for details of how it's done, Haraki is keeping this dark art a secret.

I'm waiting on the 888 cut but since it's the same fabric…since these have been overdyed twice, does that mean that they shouldn't shrink with a wash?

@Paul9221 We have not officially done a shrink test but I would suspect your assumption is correct. These won't shrink and you'll probs get 1" or so stretch in the waist as usual

No one knows and if they do they aren’t telling. It is overdyed twice so will be mo’ black. The regular OD had a lovely three dimensions fading pattern, so an extra layer of black may make that (even) more interesting.

So that isn’t a theory but a hypothesis. Now we need to put it to the test.

Don’t I know it… although the IH-555-XHSbb are also speaking to me. The measurements on those look doable for me.

Here are a couple of pics of the MBMF's (thanks @RoxRocks86 ) and the "normal" overdyed.  Won't tell you how they will fade, but gives you a comparison out-of-the-box…
