Got a roofing job this weekend in town. Definitely a few temps higher and not as breezy as where I’m at, but close enough to the water for a dip afterwards.

@endo a lot as in temperature? Not by much on paper, just a few degrees. But you can feel the difference & it’s absolutely noticeable depending which part of the island you’re on. It’s also humid & voggy (volcanic fog from Hawaii Island) which makes a big difference with how hot it “feels”. Hits different on different parts of the island. In higher elevations as long as there’s wind, it’s ok. Lower & no wind it sucks big time.

@RoxRocks86 nope, ac is not that common in Germany. Our heat pump has the ability but we decided against it

There would be no sleeping at night in July or August without ac. The lows are still in the 80’s with matching humidity.

A weekend at the country house that started off well but ended in the local emergency room this sunday. I managed to tear my right biceps tendon. Sawed down a few trees for firewood for next winter. Lifted a log that was way too heavy and bang! All while dressed in style, of course!️
Surgery/repair scheduled for Friday. Fuck me!

@endo Definitely not! Sometimes you need to get hurt to truly understand! I think it will all be fine soon enough after the operation. A pretty typical Norwegian outcome!

Glad to hear the spirits are still high and wishing for a speedy recovery. This getting old stuff is not very fun…but at least we look and dress a little better now than when we were younger
