Got a roofing job this weekend in town. Definitely a few temps higher and not as breezy as where I’m at, but close enough to the water for a dip afterwards.

@endo a lot as in temperature? Not by much on paper, just a few degrees. But you can feel the difference & it’s absolutely noticeable depending which part of the island you’re on. It’s also humid & voggy (volcanic fog from Hawaii Island) which makes a big difference with how hot it “feels”. Hits different on different parts of the island. In higher elevations as long as there’s wind, it’s ok. Lower & no wind it sucks big time.

I hope you get a fresh breeze too; that’s what makes it bearable here.

@RoxRocks86 nope, ac is not that common in Germany. Our heat pump has the ability but we decided against it

There would be no sleeping at night in July or August without ac. The lows are still in the 80’s with matching humidity.

@Tago-Mago we were staying in Hamburg several years back and I was very surprised that our hotel room didn’t have ac. It was a bloody hot week too. Didn’t get much sleep but definitely enjoyed our time visiting Hamburg. The artistry of the brick work in the buildings blew me away. I had never seen anything like it before.
Somewhere on an old iphone I have photos of just about every city building that had some kind of visually expressive patterns and shapes built in by brick.
