Yes, "slip yourself into something sparkly." ???
Is that a pistol in your harem pants or are you just happy to see me? -
This article, entitled the death of denim, opens with the question, "When did you last buy a pair of jeans?"

Obviously he doesn't hang around here…
I skimmed the whole article but didn't have to read much past the first paragraph. Once I saw the brands the author was writing about it was clear his knowledge hits a wall at anything beyond fast fashion. When all you know is following trends of course it would look like jeans are dying at the moment….. But they'll come back around. That's fast fashion.
And good for all those 'men' embracing their true selves and buying 'fashionable' sweatpants. I bet it feels great to be yourself and not be just another sheep in the flock*.
*Denotes heavy sarcasm.

Agreed ^
The funny thing about it is the way he was referencing popular culture and fashion icons, then throwing around phrases like metrosexual, to justify buying block coloured sweatpants from H&M and declare the death of denim. I am not overly attune to the world of fashion and menswear beyond this forum and niche but in the last 30 years I’ve seen The Death of Denim declared at least four times.

"today’s men are expressing themselves with a higher level of aesthetic openness than at any other point in history."
The 70s would beg to differ…
-
Even skimming that dreck was painful.
We're exceptional in how much we care about jeans, but not in that we wear jeans. Maybe the writer's world is different, but almost all of the fellas I hang out wear a lot of jeans.

This nonsense article is a typical ‚Deus Ex Machina‘ moment.

The common sense to know when 'Reply All' in an e-mail is and is not appropriate should never be undervalued.

Give Sgt Jeremy Hansen a cigar, he's a frigging genius…
_"Police in the US state of Utah who checked in on an elderly woman say they found her dead on her bed - and the body of her husband in the freezer.
Officers were called last week to the home of Jeanne Souron-Mathers, 75, who had not been seen for several days.
She was found lying motionless. Her death is not regarded as suspicious.
But officers inspecting the home found a man's body in the deep freezer. He was later identified as the woman's husband, Paul Edwards Mathers, 69.
Police in the town of Tooele, west of Salt Lake City, say he may have been in the freezer for years.
"That's why we strongly suspect foul play," Sgt Jeremy Hansen is quoted as saying by local TV station KSL."_

You should probably get the larger unit, just in case.

So I’m at work last night and I hear someone behind me say. “DUDE… are those Iron Hearts?!” I turned around and it’s this guy I work with who I never really talk to. Well now we’re BFF. I put up
Like a Xmas tree and talked with him the entire shift about denim and IH. -
X-mas shopping for the boy finally done. Probably my least favorite time of the year – not a criticism against X-mas itself but more about the crowds and not finding exactly what you intended on buying.
