New job is tons of fun. Love the folks I work with and the job aligns with a very personal life mission of mine in regards to solving the looming healthcare crisis. (As did my prior role, but I was ready for this next chapter).
I believe I found where I want to live too, at least until I buy. In general, everything's coming up roses.

My mother us suffering increasingly bad dementia. Brilliant couple of discussions Dan my younger brother had with her this week:
Mum: (to me) many happy returns
Dan: it's not my birthday
Mum: oh dear who's is it?
Dan: its Kate's and Jane's next week
Mum: oh, silly me my brain is fucked. Anyway. Many happy returns to you on your birthday.
And
Mum: Is Paula coming this weekend and that man, what's his name?
Dan: That'll be Giles, your son! -
I dealt with the same issue. Funny and awful at the same time.

@Giles my grandmother wasn't well for a while, and had dementia like symptoms. The last time I saw her she thought I was a Norwegian. The time before, she thought I was my father, and I'm somewhat taller than he is, and haven't retained my hair. Unlike him.
Unfortunately we lost her a week ago.
Still, she made it to 97, which is a respectable innings.On a happier note, just been speaking to my brother and I told him about the last pair of Triple Works Left Hand Twill Busters in his size (32"). He's just got a new job, and is already angling to buy them as soon as money hits his account.
I think that I've turned him to the
DarkIndigo side!
