Hi guys, does anyone have any 'after' photos that shows the difference in the 25oz Indigo versus the Indigo-Black when they age up and fade out? Just trying to decide on which to go for when they re-stock, no point trying to work all this out as they sell out

Final submission photos of my 777XHSib's for the Indigo Invitational.  364 days of wear, typically 12+ hours a day even through one of the hottest summers I can remember.  The pain was real, but I think the result was worth it.  These still have lots of life and I will continue to wear them in rotation with other pairs.

So the indigo-black will hold those darker tones cause of the weft black but the indigo version will be more a bright blue when fading out, would that be correct? - I dont really like the high contrast in the IB at the start but I love the deep ink like debth in general, they seem to just lose that and then soften the fade as they get older? This is all still a bit new to me, especially with the 25oz. Both do look amazing so no wrong decisions here, I just wont be fading them like you experts so I'm trying to gauge what I can get over time. Thanks for the help on this, these are my current 21oz 777's which I really love but I reckon I'll try the 666 this time.

Yes, but the IB version after some heavy fading starts to look more like the indigo version eventually. The IB also fades to an even brighter electric blue with the contrast of the weft as well.

This depends on how you wear them re: what you are doing in them, how often they are worn before washing, how long/frequently they are worn. I have seen sharp contrast in unwashed or infrequently washed and heavily worn IB. One may also achieve muted IB fades that are a result of frequent washing (weekly, over time) for a more vintage style fade. They will still hold their deepness of saturation, yet soften at the same time. I have experimented with this and threw one of my pairs in the wash every time I did a load of laundry (and dried them using a dryer) for couple of months and they look much different than my unwashed pair. XHSib is an amazing denim that takes on tons of character depending on what is done with it.

I just wont be fading them like you experts so I'm trying to gauge what I can get over time.

FWIW it does not take an expert to fade a pair of jeans one way or another. All it takes it time a committed wearer.
