Shoque went back to Austria last night. I woke to this message….
i arrived at home and everything is fine... well, after undergoing tough security checks at LHR due to my new pair of awesome jeans.
I had to go through the body scanner because the security guy couldn't check out my feet due to the weight of the jeans. the body scanner couldn't scan properly through the jeans either, so i had to undergo a "personal check", meaning 2 guys go in a room with you and force you to undress your jeans to check them out.
definitely a WTF-moment in my life, especially since the 2 guards showed interested in the brand after checking out the jeans and seeing leather patch. they must have thought there is some cocaine woven into my jeans or something at first. i still have to laugh when i think back to their question: "is that even comfortable to wear?". -
this deserves a T Shirt:
IH 25oz = the only jeans that DONT pass airport security!

I had a similar moment at Hamburg Airport, wearing my 21 oz Samurais. The security officer (appearantly an american) who touched me and my jeans was impressed by the stiffness and denim and asked me about the brand and wether I would starch my jeans. He couldn't believe the weight.

I flew roundtrip from ABQ to Dallas wearing my SR's and was patted down at both airports. The two individuals who performed the security check said that the reason was probably my jeans. One was mumbling to himself, "These things are thick! They probably couldn't see through all these creases."

This 25 oz is awesome stuff. Minus the initial struggle of doing up the buttons I absolutely love these…
To quote one of my roommates, who recently picked up some 3sixteens, "what worries me is a few months ago I would have found these ridiculous, and now I know I'll have a pair of Iron Heart within the next year."
