          Mrs Snowy knows more or less. She's not had a concern with it, discretionary spending. That said, I spend 3-4x more than she does.

                        I realise that this is a highly subjective question, but how important is a good leather jacket to a mans wardrobe?

                        Made in England, clothed in Japan, fed in America and drunk in Belgium !

                          As important as a denim shirt or/ and a good pair of boots… And no: I don't have a leather jacket cause I hate jackets in general, but I still reckon I should have a leather one...

                            See, I agree with that totally. Interested to hear what others think too.

                            Sub question, steerhide or horse hide? Got 2 jackets in mind and I wanted horse hide but actually prefer the steerhide jacket. Spent a few hours researching last night and just left myself confused  :-\

                              If I could justify it, I'd strongly consider shearling, because I live in a very cold region.

                              I like horsehide otherwise.

                                  I have no use for jackets, but I do think a good leather one is a great addition to a wardrobe.  I would go with ordinary cowhide, personally.  I don't see much practical benefit in horse hide.
