If you're single, and spending money you earned yourself, then it's nobody's business but your own.  Since I'm not single, my wife knows, more or less.  More accurately, she doesn't know the cost of each item to the penny, but she knows ±10% or so.  We've discussed discretionary spending many times, as all married couples should, I believe.  As a result, she can ballpark my clothes and shoes, and I can do the same for hers.

She outspends me, by the way. 🙂

Good answers guys. I think it's funny that we all understand each others habits (obviously) and have similar experiences with friends and family.

Then she realized she could just up the spa treatments and now we are all good.

Seriously though, 2nd what Chris said and discuss it if you even think it could be a issue because if you think I could be it probably is...

Mrs Snowy knows more or less. She's not had a concern with it, discretionary spending. That said, I spend 3-4x more than she does.

I realise that this is a highly subjective question, but how important is a good leather jacket to a mans wardrobe?

As important as a denim shirt or/ and a good pair of boots… And no: I don't have a leather jacket cause I hate jackets in general, but I still reckon I should have a leather one...

Sub question, steerhide or horse hide? Got 2 jackets in mind and I wanted horse hide but actually prefer the steerhide jacket. Spent a few hours researching last night and just left myself confused  :-\

                                            I like horsehide otherwise.
