Need some guidance. Going to have a custom waist coat made and good for shoulder, chest, opening measurements but… front length/rear length - is there a rule of thumb for lengths as related to belt? Aka front should be lower/ back should be higher : verse visa?

          Depends what you are after.

Waistcoats and work vests originally had different functions. A waistcoat in more formal/uniform use was intended to cover the transition from shirt to trouser giving a smarter, cleaner look. The longer points on the front angled up to the button placket to give easy access to your fly/pecker for taking a pee. In that instance the front is longer than the back but both should cover the waistband/belt in normal standing position.

Work vests were simply garments that protected shirts and provided pockets for personal effects, tools and nails etc, while leaving arms free and uncontstrained for working. Their length was somewhat irrelevant, as long as movement wasn’t hindered and the undershirt protected from damage and dirt.

Nowadays it is up to the user in both instances, but if you are looking for something smarter then belt and waistband covered is the way to go.

Don't know if this has been addressed elsewhere, but will there be any sort of Christmas/Holliday sales this year? Got my eye on a few things and would like to plan accordingly  😉

The guys normally play that kind of thing close to their chest. No guarantee it will happen, and if it happens you’ll normally find out right before it happens. Precisely so you can’t plan accordingly [emoji6][emoji16]

No sales planned…And as Reuben says, we don't announce till a couple of days before, otherwise, we may just as well pack up and go home until the sale starts.....

We have sales to have a little bit of fun (and sometimes free up space), but the trouble with a blanket n% off, is that the only thing you can guarantee is that people will not buy what you want to get rid of.  That's why we have the outlet.

Makes sense, thanks for clarifying G and Neph. The "advent calendar" style daily December sales leading up to Christmas a few years back certainly was a fun time, woke up every morning excited to check what was on special for the day. Certainly added more of a sense of anticipation and drama to the seasonal sale model.  😉

We thought it was a great idea, but it pissed off every one of our retailers because their Iron Heart sales ground to a halt as people put their spending on hold whilst they waited to see what was going to happen next….

Yep, it was a classic own-goal….

So the rug thread got me thinking..

What is the story behind the Bell/wings logo? I dig the hell out of the logo, just wondering what the back story is?

@kkibbey23 It is a take on The Guardian Bell. A trinket attached to motorcycles to worn off evil spirits, that may, for example, cause an accident. Angels wings are often incorporated in Guardian Bells as a reference to the idea of a Guardian Angel.

My pleasure. It is an old school tradtion, very prevalent in traditional Harley riding circles, which is very much Haraki-san’s thing.
