Is IHUK using FedEx for shipping now?  I received an email from FedEx saying a package couldn't be delivered to me from IHUK as I wasn't home.  Just making sure it isn't some crazy spam e-mail, I've been getting a lot of those lately.

I placed the order for UHF brown, during the order process I received an option to select either fedex or ups. I selected ups as I found  ups services better than fedex in my region.
        It’s not spam !!

I think if you don’t select your preferred shipper system select fedex by default

Ah…dammit.  I never even noticed that option.  I was too concerned about getting them ordered on time.  @Alex is it possible to change my green and brown western classic checks I ordered today to UPS instead of FedEx?

Does anyone know of any company that can taper a shirt sleeve? I bought a shirt off of Fleabay and the shirt fits great, but the arms are kinda poofy and seem to have excess fabric in the bicep area. Or should I take my shirt into some local seamstress and see if they can do it?

My local seamstress has worked on 17oz duck, 12oz wabash and IH herringbone for me. She isn’t any kind of denim specialist and did a great job. She’ll hem 21oz denim but no more than that.

Something strange Happened , I received confirmation from IH crew that my package made it to UPS and should be with me shortly. I checked tracking and UPS showed expected delivery for tomorrow .

Thirty minutes ago I received the following email from ups :

At the request of IHUK Ltd of IRON HEART INTERNATIONAL LTD, this notice alerts you the following shipment has been cancelled.

The question is ,  if IHUK post the shirt why requested to cancel the shipping?

Now the tracking is no longer available as it appeared cancelled !!! What the f*** happen here ?

We cancelled the shipping at your request as you wanted measurements rechecked after the package had been packaged and shipped (pending collection). We happily did this, you confirmed you were happy with your measurements, we recreated the label, and managed to get it onto the van the same day, despite there being less than five minutes between your confirmation and the UPS van collection yesterday.
Latest tracking shows it will arrive with you be the end of day today.

Can I suggest if you have any queries of this sort moving forward, you just contact me direct on my personal email address, which you already have.

                  Alex

I know I've off-handedly asked around here, but I am just curious as to if the 463s are done. I know they didn't sell super well, but I am wondering if they are going to be completely abandoned or if we will see them run in another denim anytime in the future…

So I strongly considering a pair of custom Wesco’s for work. But shelling out that amount of money for something that is going to get trashed is quite a scary thought. But I have done 3 pairs of £60 boots in less than 2 years. So what i wanna know is, are Wesco’s going to last longer and be worth the initial investment. I know all you boys that wear them in the office will say yes they will last you a lifetime but i will be subjecting these to cement and all kinds of nasty stuff on a daily basis.

My first pair get worn through the long Norwegian winter and I specced them to live with that. I walk about 4km everyday in them from November until May through snow, sludge, grit and saline solution. They’re going into their fourth winter soon. They’re in good shape.

I think that if you spec them right and take care of them they’ll last you a good few years. They’ll rebuild them for you too.

That’s interesting to know. So what if the soles are hanging off after a year they will get repaired for free?

Don’t know about that. But I know they offer a rebuilding service for trashed boots.

Check out the Wesco thread and find @jdl1279  pair of Packers in black oil tan that he uses for work. They’re battered but intact. He’s a metal worker. @steelworker  works in Wesco’s too I think.

I have the actual work boot line of RW with steel caps and shanks and if you're doing tough work I don't see why you'd not go that route or similar such as Wolverine's work line. Absolutely treat them like shit and they don't seem to care, and if they get trashed I'm not out $700. Plus I don't wince every time I scrape them on rebar or something. It's important to me to be able to not think about my footwear when I'm working: That's a distraction that's unwelcome to me.

Then again, my hiking boots are Vibergs and I trash them, so perhaps I'm inconsistent.

                                        YMMV, etc

                                        Think it, be it.

I would highly recommend a Wesco purchase as work boots. I've got over a year in my Warrens, they get soaked with oil, covered in steel shavings and all sorts of debris from machining, and while you can tell they're worn hard 10-12 hours a day in harsh conditions, structurally I'm probably a couple years from them needing attention. My midsoles have shrank from oil saturation and they're not pulling apart anywhere either. I can't get 6 months out of a pair of Red Wings for comparison
