Curious is whiskeyriver is actually MikeC. There were a couple of other guys over the years who would get REALLY agitated about this stuff, too.

Hi. My name is actually Rye.

Typing as I wear my IH 666s.

So…....not sure why the personal call out?

                  Q. re: Snap Pimpage.

Is there any particular reason that one type of snap is pimpable, and not the other? I know that the pimpable snaps only require one part of the snap to be replaced with an alternative. Is it not possible to remove/replace both parts of the pimpable/non-pimpable snap? Thank you.

                    Short answer.

No, because the snaps that we can pimp are "thin" fabric snaps and will not work on thick fabrics.  So replacing all 4 parts is not possible

                    Long answer.

I guess we could find pimpable big snaps but H says he can't find any (which is the Japanese way of saying, I don't want to) and I have not got the time to source them…Actually, full disclosure, I can't be bothered....

Thank you for your quick response. I fully understand the short answer.

Re: Long answer. "I can't be arsed." Hahaha! Succint. My kinda response. Thank you.  😃

Can anyone enlighten me as to how the 17oz organic denim used in the 555N/ 634N etc breathes? Is it closer to the 18oz or the 21oz? What I'm really asking is will it work as a summer jean in a temperate/colder climate?

What Dr. Bronners soap do you guys use to wash your IH gear?  A google search shows many different soaps made by Dr. Bronner.

I'm washing my IH-816 duck canvas pants for the first time and I plan on using Dr. Bronners on it.

                                        Thanks in advance.

Peppermint for it's minty freshness. 🙂 Though, all Dr.B is magical and good to use.
