@Alex the Ancoats Bag Company has a good reputation, though I haven't seen any of their totes.

Defy Bags sell a couple of larger briefcase style bags, the Defender and the Epic, along with the Rover, which is more of a travel bag.

Mission Workshop has a range of totes and duffles, such as the Transit or Drift.

Trakke has the Bairn Pro, which is a shoulder bag, and the Portobello, which is a briefcase.

Bedouin do a range of bags, but most appear to be out of stock at the moment. The Bosun's Tote might suit.

Beyond that, keep an eye on Carryology or their Facebook group. Someone might post something interesting.

I do love Defy and will always thank Graeme for the VerBockel tip. Got mine in VX and it is a beast.

I also need some advice, guys. Regularly traveling over the weekend. Need something close to full cabin size with lots of compartments. Want to carry it in my hand, not on the back or over the shoulder. Rather soft-bag type. No classical weekender. Don't want to spent hundreds of euros. Any ideas?

@endo maybe like a small Thule Chasm duffel or Eastpak Tranverz? Would you want wheels?

I might look at the (currently on sale) Boundary Supply Errant duffel though I would prefer the not on sale xpac version. https://www.boundarysupply.com/products/errant-duffel-x-pac

Have you looked at the Patagonia black hole duffles? They used to have removable backpack straps if you ever decide you want them.

@endo most of the options I can think of are on the expensive side.

I like a lot of what Fjallraven offers. The Travel Pack and Split Pack have compartments, but are more backpack focused. They do offer a few duffle packs.

The Jack Wolfskin Traveltopia Duffle is another backpack focused duffle bag.

The Peak Design Travel Duffle is another option. (The link is to the Australian page.) They sell packing cubes sized to fit it, which would help with organisation.

The Evergoods Transit Duffle 35 looks neat. Like the Peak Design, it's compatible with a range of packing cubes.

The Filson Surveyor Pullman is on sale. I'm not sure if they would ship to the EU. (There is a local store, but it isn't on sale.)

Going a bit more expensive, the Defy Rover is probably what you're looking for. The defy15 code might give you 15% off.

The newly-released Blue de Chauffe Woody Business Bag might be a bit small and a bit expensive. The Zoom Travel Bag looks lovely, but would blow your budget...

I am using the 48 Hour Tin Cloth Duffle Bag from Filson for carry on that is quite large, but still fits (unless filled tight) under the seat in front. It does not have too many internal compartments though, and is overpriced significantly (at least in Europe), if not at a sale.

Thanks, guys! Really appreciate your suggestions. Some are not my style and some cost more than I want to spent. I do like the Boundary Supply Errant and the Peak Design Travel Duffel. Both look cool but I don‘t think I can get them overhere. I ordered the DSPTCH Utility Tote Portrait Dyneema, although not suggested to me and on the smaller end, but it may serve my needs. Will see, otherwise it has to go retour. Thanks again!

@endo there is a Peak Design EU store.

The DSPTCH tote looks good, in particular it's a light bag. I find that the issue with carry-on luggage is the 10 kg (or less) weight limit that EU and Australian carriers impose.

Hopefully the size works for you, if not some compression packing cubes will allow you to squeeze more in.
