I have the same issue with yellow-ish tones. I already have the khaki cord type III but that's more of a neutral color imo and tends to work. I have an old Levi's type III with a moleskin collar that was advertised as waxed canvas, even though it's not. It's a darker brown color, much like the Filson tin cruiser.
