I've dropped about 25lbs this year and went from a size 32 to a size 29, dropping below 30 for the first time in my life. This has been exciting and expensive, as I had to re-purchase a bunch of denim. I have to admit that it's fun to start the fading process all over again.

While wearing these and Wesco chukka, I just went through multiple additional security checks from TSA in the Atlanta airport, culminating in a very thorough full body rub down. Agent said I think it’s because your jeans are so thick. I wasn’t in a hurry so I just smiled under my mask and thought “bet the forum will get a kick out of this.”

The UHR is legendary for that. XHS works too. I’ve also seen what Wesco’s do to the scanning machines. They light up like Times Square [emoji38]

Hello, while waiting for the 555 version to restock I’ve recently come to the conclusion that I’m in love with high rise cuts after buying a pair of Oni Secret denim in the 926 cut size 29. Waist on the Oni’s are 29.5 and thighs are 11.4. I feel with more wear the waist will stretch out to at least 30 as the denim feels like it has a lot of give in it.
I want to size down to a 29 for the IH 888 Bc I feel like the measured 30s in stock will eventually stretch out too much and I’m trying to keep the thigh and knee as tight as possible if my waist can handle it. You guys think post initial wash that I can get the 28.9 to 30? Or should I buy the 30s and try to shrink it as much possible so post wash and stretch they won’t go over 31?

I haven't had much luck trying to shrink XHS. They shrink temporarily but will always stretch back out and then some. But it is possible to stretch the waist on a pair of IH at least two inches. I'd go with the smaller size @Tightisright

Rule of thumb with XHS is that post shrink/stretch they’ll end up at the start again, or slightly larger.

There was no remake planned in October and no announcements that they are on order, so no time soon I’m afraid.
