IH-888-XHSib - 25oz Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut Jeans - Ind/blk

@Oaktavia what do you do that creates those more vertical/45 degree whiskers in all your jeans?
-
@wjw I just do whatever man but I think what causes those creases is a result of my skinny legs. I have always had lanky chicken legs and that allows excess fabric to fold up when I sit down. So I guess the fabric just falls to the same places enough times to create memory in the fibers so it always folds in the same places (creases). And you're right, they happen to all of my jeans, but especially 634 and 888 cuts.
-
@Oaktavia well chicken legs I guess = superb whiskers
-
Has anyone put these through an 800rpm spin cycle and if so, did they shrink or get streaks?
-
@goldstone0 you’re increasing your chance of streaks by putting it in a spin cycle. Personally, I wouldn’t try it unless it’s an old pair that have been washed quite a few times.
-
@Oaktavia I have a similar situation. Occasionally results in an extra fade line or two on the rear thighs.

Holy crap, snagged the last pair from the branch in Germany. My first 888 and XHS. I have some experience with stiff 25oz from another brand. Slightly intimidated with the different cut and bulk these guys will have but I know the hype is real for a reason. I've been planning on grabbing the new 555s but they've been pushed back a couple of times. I'm a sucker for tonal arcs so I pulled the trigger when I saw they still had a pair. Overall very excited to get to work on them.

I was wondering who bought that last size 40. Good snag!
-
@xcesiv Haha, yes, was me! I normally wear 38 but prefer some extra room in the heavyweights.
-
@crollee I did the exact same thing and I am very happy. At the start I doubted the choice but it turned out to be the right one.
-
Sigh...I was hoping it'd work out, but the rise is just too high after sizing up. The size chart only had a .5" difference to my other pairs but they're touching my belly button.
Come on 555 release!
