@K They are a boutonniere pin made by the company “Good Art Hlwyd”.  You can typically find them for sale at Iron Heart, Good Art, or other retailers found “Rivet and Hide”, “Self Edge”…etc.

Hi, first post and my first IH jacket so forgive me if this is a stupid question:

I could not find pictures of heavy worn examples in this thread and I wonder how much it will bleed. I know bleeding is a thing, but since I love to wear white shirts I wonder if that will stop over time if I only hand wash the jacket occasionaly? And also will the stains wash out of the shirts in a maschine-wash scenario?

I guess there is a difference in the overdying process between the IH-526J-142OD (Overdyed Indigo) and the IH-526Lod (Indigo Overdyed Black)? Is it that the first is double-indigo dyed and just appears black? Does the sanforization minimize the bleeding in any way?

I know that there is a the 21oz superblack but the fit/fabric is not for me. If there is ever a 14 or 19oz TypeIII that is sanforized AND superblack - that would be something..  😉

Both dyed with the same black OD process on base indigo denim.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

            We will fix.

I've never really noticed bleeding on OD, but then I'm a slob and don't really give a shit…..If I have stained stuff, they come out of the wash clean.....

Hey, could anyone help me out with the sizing. I'm mostly concered about the shoulders being to tight. Mine measure at 48cm since I usually wear Large T-shirts and since I don't intend to layer this one. I'm stuck between either L or XL.

I have a Levi's denim jacket here that I've been measuring and the shoulders are 50cm and P2P is 58cm. I wouldn't mind if it was a tiny bit smaller tbh hence why I'm thinking about the XL but then I saw that Sam and Adam wears L in this one and their shoulders are bigger then mine.

Would it be best to go for a an L and let it stretch a bit or get an XL right away?

I’ve noticed a discrepancy between the product and forum pages for this jacket. Product page says Adam wears L, forum page says XXL.

@K I would wait and see what the outcome of this is as might influence your choice.

Thanks @jerkules and sorry @k I am indeed a XXL.  The new run came out smaller than previous.  We will have this amended on the product page  🙂

I just tried this jacket on in a size xxl. Same size I use in the UHLs. Does it look too small on me?

I’m a tall skinny dude with monkey arms. 200cm and 85kg.
I want the jacket to fit snug and it felt super comfortable over the flannel and I could even fit a woolen sweater under it too.
But it’s not long on the arms for me as I have seen it on others. And it’s also quite short in the body.
Unfortunately the shop didn’t have it in xxxl, so I couldn’t try that on for comparison.

Looks to me like it would work best over a single layer. Thin sweaters, henley’s, tee’s etc. the 3XL may be too roomy in the body.

Yes - that’s what I’m afraid of. I really don’t want the boxy oversized look. Might pull the trigger on this one in xxl. It’s a beautiful jacket!! [emoji7]

New in: was considering a black Type 3 for ages. The market is really small, when considering that it also should have handwarmer pockets:-) Based on specs and pictures, I was not sure if it will be black enough, but the fabric is really black if not exposed to direct sunlight. Then you can see the blue shining through, which actually looks really cool.
Also I feared that it might be too light for me (being biased by wearing too much heavy denim for too long) It turns out however that the weight is just perfect and the fabric has a heft, which clearly screams „I am Iron Heart“
I wanted a slightly oversized fit compared to my traditional options to layer as much as I want, but it also looks cool with just a tee. I think after the fabric has settled a bit, it will get even better. Now I want to wear it non-stop through spring and produce some (hopefully killer) fades. Unfortunately I could not find many broken in pictures on the web. Looks like this one is a bit underappreciated😁3A10F56C-0DF4-4845-83DE-02A6267B350E.jpeg
