The Great Outdoors - Hiking and so on…

It was warmer than it looked yesterday, over 50F. We trudged through the snow on a path to our favorite pond on top of the mountain. Gambril Mountain State Park/Frederick Warershed. Below are the two different versions of how I felt about it.

Snow Geese at Green Lane park.

@twin I'm fairly certain I saw a flock of snow geese in Delaware on the way back west from Ocean City, MD last month.

Same here, I was driving so I didn't get a super good look but I looked it up and apparently they are unusual to see in our area. Beautiful birds, I love all feathered creatures.

For all you outdoorsy types it's really crazy how well these magnesium fire starters work. It doesn't matter how wet or whatever. I use this to start fires in my backyard, no accelerants or anything. I think it was a dollar at Harbor Freight. I just make a pile of magnesium on some junk mail, and like 2 minutes later- HUGE Fire. I make sure the hose is charged, ready to go, just in case.

Northern Germany is nice, especially Hamburg is, to me, next to Munich, the most beautiful city in Germany. I would however miss the mountains, that's why I moved to Switzerland
