Picked this up in person at a retailer today as my first IH piece! Beautiful shirt and fabric is like nothing else.

Curious if I would be able to purchase and ship copper snaps online and then could I install easily enough myself, or take it to a place to do so? Or is the snaps upgrade only an option when ordering online in which they are swapped prior to shipping?

Glad you like the shirt and the fabric.

You need a tool and a specific die to fit snaps.

I have no idea if you have anyone around you who can do it, you'd have to ask locally. You could buy snaps from us, but it is a super costly way of doing it. Cost of snaps plus cost of shipping plus cost of getting someone else to do it for you. Or you could send it into us for us to do, but again it's a super-costly option.

@bbbrnder I’ve sent shirts back to IH to have copper snaps installed before. It can get kinda pricey with shipping and then return shipping. One option to mitigate the cost a bit is to ship it out and have the snaps installed. Then stack it for a bit until you buy another item. Then have the shipping bundled with the new purchase.

Also, not cheap considering the new IH item. BUT…opens all kinds of doors for some justifications haha

How does this fabric compare hand feel wise and warmth to the shashiko style 389?

I found the Kersey softer, heavier, thicker, warmer, less scratchy, a little squishy feeling, and just more substantial feeling all around. Drapes so nicely too.

Not a huge amount of fading on mine, but with occasional wear, the texture really starts to pop.

Buckled (again) what an amazing indigo. Faded will be amazing.

Fit check, went for a larger L and feel it may be too small. My grey is a L and feels better / less restrictive.

@doubletee The shoulders, sleeves, and chest look perfect.

The length in the front looks good. Perhaps it's too short on the sides but I can't tell from the front view.

If you sized up I think it would be too baggy in the stomach area.

I agree with @DrPat the shoulder and sleeves look great.

It does look a bit short on the sides, but it’s difficult to tell. Sizing up may create other issues through.

I guess when I’m in doubt I size up, and tailor if required, but I really try not to alter clothes if at all possible.

Just my thoughts. It’s a beautiful shirt though, congrats.

Love how the snaps look from the other images I see but may be tough to justify on its own. I have a feeling in six months, I’ll be hooked and ready to invest in another piece at which point I can simultaneously switch the Kersey snaps if I’m still so inclined.
