Agreed on the above.
I will say that these come up a little larger than other shirts and have a little stretch in them. In other words, both L and XL will likely work, but you should choose by the fit you want, and how you plan to wear it (layers etc).

I just received my new Kersey Western from the restock and it is absolutely amazing! I probably have uttered these words too often with each new IH piece, but this may actually be my favorite Iron Heart shirt. The fit in Size Large is spot on…feels like a custom. The fabric has a really unique hand with very textured ridges, but is exceptionally soft and has a slight stretch that enhances the comfort even more. I will post some pics shortly, but this one may just be the one IH shirt to rule them all!

Wait a year of wear and it will be amazing.
The way I am feeling about this shirt right now, I may just get 180 days of wear in the first year of ownership:)

I got mine from Withered Fig yesterday. The fabric has a nice weight, but is very soft and has just a bit of stretch to it. I’m at the top end of typical XL measurements and the fit on my XL is probably the best out of all my westerns. The sleeves are quite tapered toward the cuff compared to my other westerns which I love.

How warm are these? I’m debating between one of these or a second UHF for a layering piece. I’m curious if the UHF is still warmer.

Thanks y’all. I ended up going with this as I feel it works with my other pieces being a fairly neutral colour, the UHF’s don’t work with everything. Really stoked!

Hi all, does it still hold true that white can't be worn under it as per Filthy's indigo inked white shirt? I imagine after a few washes it can be worn safely, but just wanted to confirm before I ruin a Whitesville.

I got mine in 2019, and I’ve not had any trouble with it since the first few wears. Also, I find transferred indigo washes off pretty easily on undershirts.

I may be wrong, but usually western cut is more fitted than work cut right ? But for this one it seems the measurements of the work shirt (ihsh-288) seems slimmer when I compare charts…

Washed my shirt last night. After a hot soak.
The water from the soak was inky blue. I collected the run off from the washing machine, just to see if there was more blue (OCD) and holy smokes there was a ton of indigo. The good news? After a low temp tumble, the shirt fits better now, sleeves are slightly shorterand the torso is more fitted. And the shirt is still dark as night.
