One thing I'd love for Apple to enable is the ability to add audio files received as email attachments in iphones or ipads to the itunes library. as it is now, one can listen to attachments but not download them and add them to the itunes library. I think that's fucking annoying and dont understand why it is possible in macs and not ipads or iphones.
another thing: in an i"pad/touch/phone", there is no way to add a particular tune to an existing playlist, change the playing order in a playlist without hooking the device to a computer. that sucks big time
last, why is it so hard if not impossible to have a file management system like "Finder" in portable devices? These devices pack enough firepower (more than old macs that provided such possibility) to do that. Those iOS suck suck suck

I almost never listen to music on my phone :). If I do I use the TuneIn App to stream Bassdrive.com :).

The fact that there are now aps like Audio Bus available, which allows for routing of audio between different aps, along with all the virtual synthesisers, drum machines, samplers etc does make the lack of this basic feature seem pretty odd.

Does any one know why some times on my mbpr when I close the lid then reopen the screen stays black or some times freezers?

If its been less than a year just make an appointment and they'll swap you one. Frustratingly, I've probably done this at least 5 times over the iPhones I've had.

I'd also give the trackpad a chance. To me Apple has obsolesced the mouse, the trackpad is so much more powerful if you use the gestures.

The MBA or MBP debate really depends what you're going to need it for. If its going to be your only home machine then I would go MBP all day long, just for the not having to buy peripherals, future flexibility FTW!

Never felt 'locked-in' on my MBA. Thunderbolt enables external HDD's to work @ faster than an internal MBP speed. My 2011 MBA runs faster than my late-2012 MBP due to it's internal SSD.
The lightweight/small form of the Air makes it stupidly portable, I take it places without thinking.
MBA is almost 1KG lighter than the MBP.
From a future flexibility PoV, the current MBP's don't have 802.11ac, which is the up-coming wireless standard. Not such a big issue today, but in 1-2 years you'll want that 802.11ac chipset, and it won't exist on the MBP, and you can't add it later on…That alone would almost make me go MBA. Then add the SSD's, then add the weight, MBA

two years from now I don't think I'll still work with the same machine tbh. so not having that wireless feature is totally fine with me...here are the stats of the MBP:
13", 2.26GHz Core 2 Duo, 2GB, 250GB HDDnot sure if they're different from the one you were talking about snowy, so bear with me mate

Don't buy that. You can get a MUCH better new/refurb Mac for $100+ more than that one.

http://www.everymac.com/ultimate-mac-comparison-chart/?compare=all-macsCheck the "geekbench" scores(higher the better). I'm not an expert but basically geekbench is a test app to see how well computers perform in certain tasks. It helps you see the differences in processors/ram/types of HDDs/etc.
That computer you got offered scores pretty low compared to even this refurbished MBA
