Anyway: thanks Graham for the support, and Adam for the size modelling. I ended up (against their advice) with a 18cm size A that is quite loose, but not sliding off.

@Matt yeah, I thought I was between the sizes with exactly 17,5cm and GAH listing 17,5 cm as exactly between size 17 and 18 cm. When I measured again today I was actually more like 17,2cm.. Anyway it sits very loose, but not sliding off.
GAH also tend to favor loose fit, https://www.goodart.com/pages/size-guide

Will see how it goes, and in the worst case have one link taken out. Advantage of the loose fit is that the bracelet shows even with the long IH sleeves.
