I’m quite sure there were some underground shops and of course the kitchen jockeys but it wasn’t legal. Yesterday I scraped up some old glue down carpet in our back hallway that had become a bit of a shooting gallery for our geriatric chihuahuas. Hopefully it will become a less appealing place for them to pee now that it’s bare linoleum. Ah the joys of home “ownership”. Technically we rent from my Dad, but I certainly handle all of the projects around here.
After that, I needed a serious meal, so I fried up some steaks and potatoes for us. Oh, and broccolini—a common feature of our meals.
This evening we are drinking mezcal and working on this really hard puzzle that has been monopolizing the dining table for waaay too long.
I know—we’re the coolest. Hey, this jacket has never partied so hard as at my house, y’all. Also, Marcia refused to lean into the puzzle selfie, so the weirdo made hand gestures instead. @sabergirl my daughter's Chihuahua has done the same thing in my house. What is with those crazy dogs?! Luckily I need new flooring in my house anyways but it's so annoying. She's a sneaky little bastard about it too, dog is like a damn ghost with her stealth abilities.

Visited my parents in their beautiful apartment, this afternoon, after work.
Then it was home to walk the dogs. Our neighborhood is an historic part of town, with lots of beautiful old houses, and a few amazing oak trees.
Pretty run-of-the-mill day.

I'm a lurker around these parts, but I've been following this thread- great fun, and can't believe I was in Asheville at the same time as the Party Jacket! Portland, OR now, but lived for many years in Asheville, and back first half of August for a visit. Wow, in many ways, town has changed, but there's much still the same… And I'd recognize Montford anywhere...

More of the same weather today. Went out for a bit to run errands. It’s cold and rainy today. I spent most of the day cleaning up and organizing. I’m having my buddy Matt from NJ stay a night at our place on his first night of his and moms cross country road trip. I should have fun pictures coming up soon. My wedding is Friday, Matt on Saturday and my birthday is on Sunday. I also have a solid 5 days off work and am very excited about that too. It’s gonna be an action packed weekend.

Too hot for the party Jacket today. But still had a nice day. Wore this for most of the day.
Spent some time at the doctors. Nana was getting a sonogram done. Our baby was stubborn and we have to come back to get more detailed shots of the heart. But everything else is looking good and healthy.

It’s been odd weather we’re having lately.
Mid day beer and chat with my mom about the wedding tomorrow.
Gave some some love to some boots. Just a quick touch up and clean with that and polishing the black ones up for tomorrow.
Much more fun for the weekend coming. My buddy Matt will be staying the weekend too for some celebrating
