@northsouthdenimguy what's your best practice again? I was logged in, had shop pay active and at drop time I immediatly had the XL in my chart and tried to pay.

Feel for everyone who didn't....
He said on the livestream an hour before something about having enough fabric to make about 200 shirts.
I guess 200+ people who are refreshing and have shop pay button ready at the same exact time. Like flipping a coin maybe?

@Northman it definetely is! I knew this could happen and it's nobodys fault. Just the fomo kicking in a bit more than I expected. I am really not good in waiting

Shop pay every time. Knock on wood but I’ve never missed. I grabbed a 2xl because I’ve lost 60lbs since getting my 3xl last year and granted I shrunk it a lot I had to see if 2xl might fit better. If I don’t like the fit though it’ll be up for grabs

Yes, having Shop Pay connected to my account usually makes it really easy for the purchase to go through quickly. The trick is having the link open and starting to refresh a minute or two before it goes live. The weird thing was my page never changed. I think the link I had had been up for a while and was broken. I figured he was just running late and going live like the Jerry long sleeve natural drop, which I think was a few minutes late from the posted time. So like a dumbass I sat there refreshing for about 10 minutes.

@northsouthdenimguy for most purchases I use google pay which is super fast, I "dry tested" it with some other item which payment providers I could use and the google pay button was available then. Yesterday when I wanted to pay there only was shop pay... Anyway lesson learned

I appreciate the small batch and small business struggles. This was also the #1 item on my SJ hit list and I missed out, but I guess it wasn’t meant to be. His carefree-ness is appealing as a lifestyle, but it also means your interactions with the company aren’t going to feel like you’re being waited on hand and foot. This isn’t Neiman Marcus. I think you just have to be cool with getting a special piece now and then and missing out on some; otherwise SJ just isn’t for you. …at least that’s what I’m telling myself after missing out.

@FlavourFade I also use google pay and have had good luck with it. Have the indigo sashiko, the black sashiko and managed to snag the blacked out Wills to. Not gloating, just to inform you I have had luck with google pay. I'd keep an eye out for a while after they ship the pre-orders. Wouldn't be the first time they had "extra" that they just put on the web site. They did that with some Kristofferson's and the hickory striped western shirt. I am quite certain they did it with some indigo sashiko shirts as well.

@FlavourFade ha! It’s sort of know as the department store in the US most famous for crazy customer service. Free alterations, unquestioned returns beyond their stated policy, bending over backwards for customers… you just pay for it up front with crazy priced goods.

Ended up sleeping through the drop. Decided that I already bought three shirts since Redline Rally started that I have wait another 301 days before I can wear them. And adding a fourth to that pile would not do. Maybe next time. I'll put the money "saved" (rationalizing already ) towards a nice pair of boots I think

That used to be Nordstrom, I’m not sure if they’re still the same now. I used to shop there a lot 20-25 years ago with my ex-wife and there was absolutely nothing they wouldn’t take back.

Not a fan of Neiman Marcus, never gotten so much attitude from people selling ties and generally awful men’s clothing.
