Ceiba speciosa (toborochi is the local name) is native and plentiful in my city. Hardy tree. Tolerates cramped sidewalks, car fumes, grows quickly and looks very pretty when in full bloom. -

Pruned and took out the dead wood on the maples earlier this year, beds cleaned up, and mulched. It’s Miller time. -

1st Blacked eyed Susan has popped

This single rose has popped up at the edge of my yard from an old abandoned bush that’s now surrounded by blackberry.
