Is everyone going with their usual tag size??? I feel like I could almost size down one from my usual 634 tag size and go with a 33 but I'm leaning more towards my usual 34.

I have to say, I'm so bloody excited about these. I've tried the 301, 555, IHxB01, 666 and 634 in that order and while I've enjoyed them all, there's been an element of compromise in each one, (live with a too wide hem, tolerate a loose waist or tight thigh. etc, etc….). The smoke signals suggest that these might be the perfect, compromise free jeans for me...

Fairly early we came up with the Lot Number 888. The 21oz version will be IH-888S.
We tried a number of really cool ideas, but either H did not like them, thought they were too cute or the pun just did not work for the Japanese sense of humour.
So @trail and arrow came up with the concept of the octopus (oct = eight) and we took it from there.

I'm so excited for these and have been checking the site daily waiting for them to drop. I have to say however after seeing the measurements I'm a little concerned about the thighs being large enough. I wear a size 34 in my 634S and the 13.3" thigh is about as tight as I would want it. Is the 13" thigh in a 888S size 34 going to be a problem, or is there some other element to this fit (the higher rise?) that might make that a non-issue? I'm sitting with a 34 in my cart right now but am wavering because of this one thing.

The fit pics have me super tempted. I am still trying to exhaust my options in prep for DWC. Rolling the dice that the tiny human sizes don't sell out quickly as these are currently the default if nothing else comes up that tickles my fancy. The taper on these looks perfect for boots, which is essential.

will there be a shrink test in advance of orders being shipped out? id like to have IH hem these for me instead of having to send them out.
