@tody do they both have fleece-lining or just the IHJ-12? Or what is the main difference?

This might be newer than 12. The 5 definitely had a white lining. I think most of the earlier ones did.

I saw that, too! I think it looks like it has kakishibu threads or overdye or something. Also not confident that it’s actually iron heart? Does the seller have closeups of the buttons or other details?

buttons show that it's probably not a factory od process, too pristine.
selvedge id shows that it has been overdyed orange.

Agree with Ann that it looks like kakishibu and wonder if someone experimented on their jacket. Would explain why the leather patch was removed.

Funny this was posted. I spent no less than an hour last night searching every corner of the internet looking for this model. Might not be factory original but it’s still pretty sick! Kinda loving it! What jacket do you think they used to make the mods?

I messaged @Oaktavia this morning about it. It looks to be a lighter weight (maybe 14oz). Buttons look legit. "W" embroidery on the pocket looks legit...but, where it's fading on the cuff, it appears white, and the stitching seems to have an orange hue. The pockets appear orange and the "44" tag looks to have a tint to it similar to how the OD products have. I've been here for a few years myself and have yet to see a similar piece.

To me, the 44 tag just looks dirty like it's been worn and had a little indigo transfer.

ODing process would've dyed the weft, and there is no way that orange weft has been OD'd. Add to that the clean looking hardware and I'd give it about 0% chance it's been OD'd.

When the outer warp yarns are rope died, the indigo doesn't penetrate all the way through. That's why you start seeing white as you get fades. You're exposing the white core of the warp, not the orange weft. This means the white on the cuffs is accurate. You'll only ever seen the orange weft pop through if you get a hole.

I'd guess that the orange stitching would've been done to coordinate with the orange weft.

I still don't know what model is, but nothing I'm seeing screams "red flag."

I bought this rider jacket at SelfEdge NY back in 2017. It feels like 21 oz denim and is blanket lined. Couldn’t find its IH id name. Any ideas? Big favorite of mine.
