IH-526L - 19oz Left-Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Type III - Indigo

@FlavourFade yeah and that’s why I appreciate the extra space! But truth be told it’s not very common to even need to layer here in Florida lol. But to have the option is still nice, I’m appreciative the jacket doesn’t look massive on me wearing it normal.
-
@worn2fade honestly I am always wondering how you wear all that heavy denim in Florida

Get hired somewhere in the Walmart's meat section
-
@FlavourFade I’ve gotten so used to it man haha. But at least the cooler season is approaching now!
-
@Yoprst I work from home so that definitely helps!
-
@Yoprst I work in retail with aircon but have to wear the company shirts unfortunately

I myself work in the company coverall, I just wear my denim under it

@worn2fade are the shoulders starting to soften. It seems like it. I just got mine and it feels very boxy in the shoulders. Like SpongeBob. I did a cold soak, as I don't want to shrink too much. Still seems boxy.
-
@timmyboy yes it did indeed start to soften. You notice it a little more around the 2 week mark (of daily wear,) but as Stevie said - this jacket takes a minute to break in!
-
Thanks all

Day 20!

Final pictures of mine as it's now in the classifieds.

Fit check before wet soak please. Do I have some room for shrinkage?
-
@aimes Yes, but it looks like it might end up a little tight. What are you wearing underneath? How do want to wear it? Open with a t-shirt? Closed with a shirt/hoodie? You can estimate the amount of expected shrinkage, see my previous posts from around the most recent restock.

IMHO you surely do. From my point of view you have no choice but to shrink it a bit, cause it looks quite not your best fit right now (sleeves & shoulders). Simply soak/wash it in a lukewarm water, without fanaticism though and I'm pretty sure it'll fit you like a glove
-
@Yoprst
Def Agree with ya, think the fit will be spot on once soaked. Perfect with just t shirt and prob can layer -
@meatmarketdenim1 honestly do not understand people who try to wear jean jacket as a coat, with hundreds layers underneath. Jean jacket is a jean jacket and should be worn as such. All above imho of course
-
Thanks all, looks like it will be a keeper with a warm soak. I'll keep soaking it hotter if I want more shrinkage.

Ideally, a flannel.

@Yoprst I'll throw a denim jacket when working around sharp objects at work to prevent threads from coming loose from a flannel or sashiko for example. I've found the denim to be able to withstand thread pulls better. However I can also see the appeal of wearing only a t underneath in a casual setting.
