There once was a Iron Heart Type 2 that had this cinch on the back , like vests have .
Glad I have one without , definitely don’t like it

i feel like you don't need a cinch on both the type I and II, but I'm just a random schmuck so what do I know. I guess it depends which crowd will buy regardless - the anti-cinchers or pro-cinchers? This has probably been debated to death. I like my double black type II without one though.

I would definitely like to buy a type 1 or 2. But with cinch would be more of a deal breaker for me. Both jackets are modern interpretations of a classic design... just my opinion.

All these type I and II’s are amazing! Also the OD flannels are killing! I’ve i may add one note. I would dig a type I with a cinch and back pleats. Repro but with the overengineerd quality from IH. Type 2 without a cinch but cut in the boxy version

Elk leather…never handled one. Any info on how thick it is? We usually hear about 1.2 mm horsehide jackets.

No info on the elk, because what we had was too thick so we are finding a thinner one. Once we know, we will tell people what it is. The other three are not elk, sorry, my post could have been clearer. I will edit it..
