@ROman and I went for lunch in Madrid. Sam does not eat prawns, so we chose Foie Gras pasta to share.

It came with about a million prawns in it and just 2 tiny bits of Foie Gras......

Side dish.... And they all looked pretty similar when I put them in the pan, they were just a couple of packets of "green chillis" from the local supermarket....

@Giles They still look pretty good. I had zero luck this year with my chillies and nothing really grew. Maybe ended up with a large handful or two for the entire season.

Screwed up and bought plants from local greenhouses instead of starting them myself and it made a huge difference.

Lesson learned.

Yesterday was pizza day

I'm doing a pear tart for dinner tonight. Just went a picked the pears, Jesus, they are enormous this year....

...but how does it taste? I have found larger fruit less flavourful and more watery/blander than smaller fruit. Often see it with the apples on Laura's family farm and apple orchard.

Dunno, I'm going to poach them to inject some flavour into them anyway
