Spend all day at home to be here to sign for when the IH package arrives.  Watch the UPS truck crawl around the online map, slowly working its way towards my neighbourhood.  In the meantime, receive a package from FedEx truck in very timely manner with no problems.  Continue to watch UPS truck on online map slowly working its way around.  See it's gotten to within a few blocks.  Check again a bit later and see it's now well on the way out of my neighbourhood.  Get an update–with zero apology or explanation--that delivery is now scheduled for tomorrow.

Got an email from Denimio stating that my transaction points are set to expire in 4 days (of which I have 1400). I ordered from them once about 2 yrs ago and haven't ordered anything since, mainly because their physical stock availability sucks. In any case, I received the same email as above about a year ago stating that my transaction points were to expire unless I used them right away. Obviously a dodgy way for them to try and get sales from previous customers.  ???

Guy who runs the hippy shop near me was diagnosed with cancer. From what I could tell (his wife was explaining it to another customer), they discovered it in a very early stage… So that's good...

A friend's father had a stroke last year, and has just had a tumour found in his sinuses. It's probably benign, but if not it could be nasty due to being close to the brain and its blood supply.

It's been a real, real shitty year thus far… Dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December. First bout of chemo didn't do anything. He starts a different treatment at the end of April.

If I think back on the difference of his condition between now and December (4 months), it's hard to stay optimistic... But somehow we have to...

Going for a walk with him and my mom this afternoon... Nice and sunny out... It's the little things...

I lost my mother to cancer (Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma) about five years ago. She fought it for six or seven years before that, and dealing with that is tough, so you have my sympathy @Seul.

Fingers crossed he makes a recovery.
