Seconded. I‘ve a collection of Japanese wearables and Japanese doesn‘t automatically = good.

I think it's important to note that just because something does not have the cleanliness of an IH garment in terms of seams/construction does not mean it is poorly constructed.  To say a company like PBJ, Sugar Cane, etc. make poorly constructed garments is a bit off base in my opinion.  Are there awfully made garments produced in Japan?  Of course.  But, the brands commonly discussed around these parts do not fall into that category.

In all fairness, I didn't say "poorly constructed", and I hope that's not what my words implied.

I've never had to return a garment from any of the brands that I listed for construction or sizing issues, and I've never busted the seams on any garment from those brands either.

But, IH is truly leaps and bounds ahead of most, imho.
***My dream pants would be PBJ fabric w/ IH cut & construction.

During boarding on several airlines I have observed luggage being soaked by rain, just left to sit before being loaded.

I saw that too, we landed douring crazy heavy rain and they unloaded the Plain onto an Open Cart, the whole Backpacker Luggage and the Bags where drenched. The best way out of that is at least that is how i did it, to buy a Suitcase that is Waterproof.

Or you can just line your suitcase in murder plastic. It's pretty cheap from the hardware store and works good.

I know violence is not the answer, I got it wrong on purpose

When I flew back to the UK from Australia in 2016, it was raining in Guangzhou, where I changed flights. My rucksack, which was in checked baggage, was damp when I collected it in London.

Travelling with hand luggage only is probably the solution, but airlines are increasingly strict about weight limits. Getting under 7 kg with a laptop could be tricky.

I really like them too but as der Anschiss said, the dents are Patina as long as they don´t stop the Suitcase from functioning. A friend of mine who travels weekly stopped using the Aluminium Rimowas as Check-In because an Airline deformed the Chassis so hard that the Suitcase had to be sawed open, that wount happen with e.g. an Rimowa Salsa. As a Carry-On the Topas and even the fragile Classic Flight are great Suitcases.

Even the price point is acceptable and you can get it with wheels when needed.
Then it is called Duffle RS and the shoulder straps are removable.

@Giles  I have the Dakine bag also for travel. The big wheeled one. You can fit a fk ton of gear in those. Very easy to go over the weight limit with that bag as well though. Great value those bags.

                            Maybe so. Maybe not
