That strategy has worked well for me in the past.

Likewise. I've done this with 3 pairs of 666's, I'll eventually do the same thing with these when I finally get around to ordering a pair.

Thanks for input, guys, I'm super grateful!

Yeah, having scoured the forums I gathered the 21oz is the most 'forgiving' of IH's denims. My plan is this: I'm calculating that a little bit of give might bring them into line with the original fit of my 101Zs, when I felt I was strutting around like a rockstar (whereas they now feel the roadie's).

Right, I shall do just that, email for the measurements of the last pair (at time of writing) of 34s, yikes…

        Again, much obliged, cheers!

Currently having a personal dilemma between these and a pair of 777-21oz ::)

Is there a particular reason for the waist measurement to be 1" larger than the tag?

Only reason I ask is I'm a 30" waist (somewhat shocking considering the love for pizza) and the 30 tag 666 claims 31" yet the 30 tag 777 claims 30"  😠 suppose the logic step would be punt for tag 29 666?

              Your actual waist is 30"?

My current jeans were 30" (Nudie Grim Tim) prior to stretching with wear, they buttoned up snugly when brand new and measured as advertised. They also have similar rise to the 666 30 tag so sit the same.

Sewing up anything (bodies excepted I guess) is not a science.  In a perfect world, we would have all our sanforized and washed jeans measuring as tag.  But we often don't get our calculations wrong, by accident rather than design (unlike the brands that vanity tag on purpose), so ALWAYS look at the charts and measure like we do….

                        This pair is L36"

                        Need some recommendation !!

@8filtonave I would definitely have them hemmed. You've got more than enough to stack with, even with the cuff which must be at least two inches.

I think I gonna cut them 2.5 inches.
Also, I notice that the knee parts stretch out fast. Not sure if only me feel that. How about yours?

Iron Hearts's 21oz generally does stretch quite a lot. But bunching around the knees will also happen when you have too much length, so hemming may help. After that just wear them. They'll look even better when the denim settles and starts draping.

+1 on the stretching. My 21oz 634s typically never retain a "tight" state because they stretch so well. That being said, I would say the 21oz is probably the most comfortable (IMHO)

If you are ever looking for something a bit more stiff, I would highly suggest the XHS….my favorite denim by far.

You won’t be satisfied until you wear Iron Heart.

Totally agree with you guys! Since the 666s 21 is my first IH, I didn't expect they stretch that much. It would be better if I chose one size down
Anw, I brought them to cut yesterday. Really want to keep the chainstitch after hemming but local sewers can't make it 😞

I made the similar "mistake" with my first pair. Still wore the crap out of them. Even though they are pretty trashed now and I've lost a lot of weight, I still get them out and wear them. Really enjoy it when I do.
