Scooped the IHG-081-ORA from Mildblend in Chicago and then it got hot out again. Finally cooled off enough to wear. Stoked on this!

It has been documented that I will slut for flannel. But did you know I’ve been known to slut for slippers?
The problem w being a slipper slut is there are a wide range of mediocre stuff and youre not really sure how you will get on with a pair until about 2 weeks in.
At the risk of sounding something like the “Princess and the Pea” I will elaborate.
First things first, I can not do anything shearling (New England sacrilege but that goes for you too LLBean’s Wicked Good Moccasins) sure it feels luxurious initially, but 30 minutes in and your feet are sweating and 30 days in, that luxurious shearling starts to mat down.
Wool is the way to go for temp regulation but of course, not all wool is created equal. And some do NOT hold their form well; evident after a couple weeks of wear.
Halfinger makes a great slipper but do not get on with their arch support and Glerups appear solid but a catch and release because they run too narrow for me. Olukai always got a long look but never felt great about any of their wool options.Which brings me back to my recent purchase! rewind about a month ago where I watched a Carl Murasaki YT and he recommended these “Green Comfort” slippers and thought “here we go again”. I received them a little over 2 weeks ago and think we have a replacement to my “the one” slippers.
The wool is not itchy, have held their form like day 1, nice wide forefoot and breath incredibly well. Temperature regulation is fantastic; my feet have not run too hot nor too cold. So good that I just ordered a 2nd slide on pair for myself and one for the Mrs.
If in the market for some slippers this holiday season, give “Green Comfort” a serious look!

Those look great! I agree Glerups run a little narrow, but I go up a half size which helps.

I love them, I’m wearing them right now. Wore them all weekend up in the mountains. I started off with the leather bottom ones until I busted my ass on the hardwood floor after being outside on the wet deck.
I’m on my second pair of the rubber ones now. They last a long time, and I want to grab one more pair so I can keep one strictly in the house and use the other for quick runs to the grocery store, etc.
My wife looks at me like I’m insane every time I walk out of the house. She’s like, ‘It’s bad enough you wear boots all the time… but do your slippers have to be boots too?’”
