@AdamJ this would be a brilliant program to offer the forum: send in samples of your own aged IH denim for a custom micarta handled knife. Next level custom knife there.

          Think it, be it.

A customer and UK based knife maker Canton Cutler reached out to see if we'd like a knife sample. He used his 21oz off cuts to make the handle!

Picked up this cool little Rivery OTF box cutter and am loving it. You open it manually by sliding forward a handle scale but when you pull back on it, it SNAPS back with authority. Great little fidgety tool.

On my travels this winter, I “lost” my knife in Thailand that I have carried daily for about 15 years. It was an old Buck pocket knife with 2 blades and a poking/light prying tool that was very useful. It was gifted to me from an old timer friend who told me it was an old pipe smokers knife as the poking tool was used to clean out the pipe bowl. It was a simple and useful knife. Over the years I have looked at different knives but always thought I already had a knife and didn’t need another.

When I got back home I needed a knife. I went around to the local knife shops and outdoors stores that carried knives to get a look and feel for what was available. I ended up picking a Spyderco para 3 which kind of surprised me as it was very different from my old knife. It’s a nice knife that is very slicy and feels good in the hand. After having it in pocket less than a week I knew I wanted something a little bigger and beefier for work. The hunt was on for a work knife. After hundreds of knife reviews and videos I finally decided on a left handed Chris Reeve large Inkosi that arrived on Monday. I’ve only had it in pocket for a couple of days and already love it. This is also my first left handed knife and I gotta say I really like the natural feel it has! Getting this knife was like the first time I experienced Iron Heart and getting blown away by the quality, material and craftsmanship.

Knife in the waywt is a winterblade factor w/M390 blade. Got it as a gift and it has a pretty fun and smooth action that works with magnets.

@RoxRocks86 agreed, more appropriate here :). That looks sweet! I never heard of Winterblade before. (Not hugely surprising, given that I don’t keep up with, or know a ton about, folding knife makers). I went through a ton of Balisong trying to figure out exactly what suited me, but only have had a few folders.

I treated myself to a Sebenza for my birthday this year and felt like I was being unreasonably extravagant until I had it in hand. It's incredible how something that looks so minimal and relatively simple absolutely shines as it's used.

@Abracadaver @Denman-John I completely agree with you. A Sebenza is also on my wish list, and while it's not a knife, it shares the same philosophy: a CWF Custom Titanium Flashlight (Mini Turbo, Peanut, etc.).

@Abracadaver @ConBu Congrats on your birthday present! Any pictures? I’ve had this knife for about 10 days now and have carried it daily. Love this thing! In all its simplicity, it just feels right (or left in my case) in your hand. The action is breaking in nicely and feels nice and smooth. I’m so impressed that I’m considering picking up a Sebenza with wood inlays. This large Inkosi could definitely be a one and done knife, but those fancy Sebenzas are sexy…

@Anesthetist Your older pictures in this thread got me looking in this direction. Would love to see pics of your Chris Reeve knives.

Tbh my most used knife is a beat up Milwaukee fastback utility knife with the folding bit holder 😅 I don’t know too much about knives, but I do have some favorite brands & steels.

Ooh Balisong! You still got them? Any pics?
