Picked up two sujihiki knives for me and @Giles from Pellegrino Cutlery recently. Really great packaging with a band-aid hidden under the branded sticker!

The knives come in a handmade saya or blade cover is made from the same wood as the handle, which is Paulownia wood that was milled from a tree planted outside Steve's workshop by his grandfather.

Overall couldnt be happier, check out Steve's site here, if you are into this sort of thing. Helps that he is an Iron Heart fan too!

I’ve been carrying it a lot lately.  I like to keep it in my 5th pocket it I don’t when I’m wearing a belt since it messes up the bottom of the leather where the top of the knife sticks out.  My 888 UHR don’t require a belt so extra pocket time.

It would be nice if inner knife pockets were standard in all IH jeans.  Either that or #bringbackthebeatlebuster!  😉

Any recommendations for a killer pair of pruning shears? I figure the Japanese must be making some nice ones. I wasn't impressed with the results of my quick Google search.

@68degreesorless, thisoldtony on YouTube just did a video on a few types of pruning shears that was surprisingly good. Not his usual content. Might be helpful.

                                            edited to add:
I realized he has another video about pruning saws and the one with shears has an nondescript title that's not obvious to find. Thought it might help to paste it here.

If it's not cool, mods please remove and note that the video title is "milwaukee" and posted a month ago.
