@mclaincausey nope, at least not yet. It’s on my list to read this year though. I debating on whether reading that first or Saxophone Colossus by Levy. I’ve had the latter in the bookshelf for a minute, it’s just an intimidating read but I know I’ll breeze (relatively speaking lol) though it once I start.

@Tobi i still think about Red Mars. Robinson did a wonderful job of describing the landscape of Mars - the enormous proportions and size of the cliffs, canyons etc. I didn't go on to read the following 2 books, but listening to them does sound enticing.

A tag line that should go down well here. I’ve never bought his clothes, or seen much of his tv work but I thought this book was brilliant. An echo of my own thoughts over the last few years.

@Inorganic really enjoyed secret History. Wish they’d made a movie with a young Philip Seymour Hoffman as Bunny Corcoran.

@jerkules that would have been a solid casting, he crushed a similar role ‘Talented Mr Ripley’. Your post got my mind running on which 90’s (book was published in ‘92) actors could play Henry - Richard E. Grant I think could do it justice. And a bonus thought if they made it today he could make an excellent Julian.

In my opinion, this right here is the greatest American novel. So many scenes are burned into my memories.
