decided to give the steelgang a little protective car before starting to wear them outside.
tried the sapphire Nappa care at a non visible point to make sure it doesn’t darken the leather to much.
choose the Nappa care because it doesn’t make the leather shiny.

I really like my new olive boots. They are breaking in nicely, been wearing them for two weeks now with just the second day off due to a blister on one heel. After the first week, they became pretty soft already.

Quick shot of the Dukes worn first time this morning.

Worn for only a few hours and already some nice indigo stains/transfer. I’m really liking these. They look western but not too cowboy-ish. My wife thinks I secretly want to be a cowboy because of my western boots, shirts, cowboy hats, etc. It’s no secret, I WANT TO BE A COWBOY! but these boots are a nice in between. They have a western look but not full on cowboy. I wish the shaft was a little more narrow. I may take them to a cobbler and see what he can do. My first pair of Lofgrens and I think I made the right choice.

oh man! so nice! i've had a shaft narrowed down before. Sent them to a company in texas (don't think it exists anymore) and they essentially cut a pointed down triangle into it and added a engineer boot like buckle at the top.
