some of the most down to earth, amazing people I've meet have been thanks to Wookiefoot and their festivals, they really do attract and bring the good out of people.

You still in Mpls?  I might be back in the area in the fall, if I am we should get together and have a beer and stare at each others jeans.

I spent a lot of time sitting here trying to think how to describe wookiefoot.  Wookiefoot cannot be described.  The best thing I can say is go to their band page and see for yourself.

They grew from a backyard band into a band which holds a yearly festival which proceeds go to charity and a 3000 person music festival in the fall.  It's a festival in the midwest where like minded individuals hang out under some oak trees listening to music where like minded individuals can be hard to find sometimes. This will be their 10 year now and I was at the 3rd through 8th, I could go there this year even after missing the last couple and still see a lot of people I knew from previous years, it's gotten to be a small community where you see the same people year after year.

I cannot say enough good things about them and it's been interesting watching them progress as a band over 10 years from their first album to their sixth album and they have all been good.  I have listened to all of them for countless hours as I've driven across the US and countless more in front of computer.  And their side projects have been good also for the most part.

Music: Leonard Cohen. Alexandra Leaving must be the best song ever written.

Film: Pulp Fiction. And Braindead. And Goodfellas. And absolutely not Lord of the Rings (Peter Jackson, how could you!)

Sport: Cycling. Used to be Football (soccer), but the Qatar World Cup ruined it for me and I’ve been unable to recover.

Food: Difficult - there is so much to choose from. I’ll settle for Moules Frites. Edit: Actually, Moules Frites doesn’t define me. Pasta does - pasta with mushrooms in one form or another must be my signature dish.

Drink: Wine. Mosel Riesling with a little residual sweetness, Aged Nebbiolo or Premier Cru Chablis.

Alcohol: Defining - then it must be smoky/peaty Single Malt.

Clothing: IH 726 OLV. And wool. I love wearing wool.

Footwear: I love having bare feet. When It comes to shoes and boots I prefer Goodyear (or similar) welded leather - with a weakness for Chelsea boots. Basically the best quality I can afford.

                          Relationship: my wife.

I’ve never seen this thread! I appreciate the resurrection.

Shawshank Redemption is pretty perfect. I’ve heard the phenomenon of catching a couple mins of a movie on TV, only to realize you are now hopelessly stuck watching it, as being “Shawshanked.” Another good example: the Temptations movie.

Also @Giles I love that your two essential bands listed are Bowie and CONVERGE. Hell yeah, man.
