Hi,

I am making the 100,000 mile journey from the wastelands of Scotland down to London this weekend for leisure not business.
Got some stuff planned, going to see Mike D of Beastie Boys at 26 Leake Street amongst other things - and this may sound pretentious – but can anyone recommend what they think is seriously the best coffee place in the general close vicinity of waterloo/maybe embankment/Westminster type area.

Not a shack somewhere, want to sit in somewhere if possible. Some overpriced/artisan/coughed up by an Elephant type thing. Maybe some cakes or bakes at same time.

Can’t be arsed finding somewhere that’s going to be sh*t so honestly if you can make it any easier for me then I will be eternally grateful.
I will be wearing my new 634’s while doing so if that sways you lol.

@don_pipone quite good! Really smooth with a hint of sweetness. I’ve previously tried medium & light roasts by this company & haven’t been disappointed. Sadly they are sold out atm and only do small batches so keeping an eye out for the next time it’s available. Kinda on par with getting good stuff from IH

Tried a search but nothing came up — anyone on here ever mess with a Cafelat Robot? I ordered one and am expecting delivery today. I’ve always been interested in espresso machines but balked at the price of entry for getting something decent (that’s guitar money). The manual game seems fun and has a lot less to worry about, so I took the dive. Also have a Red Clix on the way for my Comandante.

@ARNC we always try to get a coffee at the first service station in Italy. Coffee this morning at home was at 05:30 before setting off. Not my preferred time of day
