To be honest, MaxP tried em on, I just wanted to put em back on the hanger, but I could not resist. Now I want a leather jacket, maybe 0.5 inches longer in the front and without a half belt. The Giles King is lovely…

I took a look at the McLain today, and it's a very nice jacket. I just need one that's up a couple of sizes from Giles's, with the right tartan as the liner, and a cold climate to wear it in.

Unfortunately the J100 is back in Scotland, as it sounds like it was fitted for Quasimodo. Looking forward to seeing the red one, though…

Thanks! Sure @ruben, I'll post a full review with detailed pics whenever I can–it will likely be a few days though, super hectic schedule, leaving this job in Minneapolis tomorrow, consulting on a project in Mississippi Saturday, then starting a new job in Colorado Monday.

This steerhide ain't no joke. It's a struggle to put the jacket on, though obviously that will change with time. It's exactly what I wanted, a very firm leather to beat into submission.
