Will from Alexander Leathers has been sending me samples of jackets over the last couple of months.

Here is his take on a D1.  I'll tell you something, this sheepskin is some of the best I have ever seen on a D1.

This jacket is a 44 and the price is USD1,000 which includes shipping.  I can obviously get custom sizes made up.

It's amazing how your taste can change so quickly.  When I first saw this I thought, "Nope.  Not for me."  Months later, and after looking at a lot of jackets, I love this.  Funny.

(And yes, I'm already scoping winter jackets.  Is that wrong?)

I have wanted a shearling for some time. In my region it's really the best leather coat for much of the season.

I'm wondering whether a vest, like a C3, would make more sense than the full shearling jacket. You could layer it over or under a leather, and extend its range. This is Chapal's, there are versions by Eastman and Aero, and I'm sure Will could run one up.

I'm actually thinking of using my IHV-05 this way.
