Watches - another OCD problem
-
They make a LE version of this Radiomir in white gold, an absolute beast!!
-
I struggle with white gold watches. There’s a couple that I really like but it’s hard to justify for the most part.
Although my wife does have a beautiful WG date just. She loves larger watches. She wears this 36 and a 41. I’ve tried it on but strap is way too small I can’t even get the clasp closed.

-
I own lots of more expensive watches but for sheer value for money I don’t think you can beat the basic Seiko Turtle.

Such a great watch. Think I only paid around £250 for it lightly used off eBay.
-

Paired with a 1600-OLV, LHT 19 oz OD type 3 and 888 XHS. And a beater pair of blundstones.
-
@1WayTrip I have a few nice things at this point in my life. But rarely does a week go by when I don't pick my SKX over a half dozen "nicer" options.
-

This big fella followed me home from Pittsburgh

-
@Anesthetist excellent pickup!!
-
@goosehd thank you! The 50 case is one of my favorites but it is just a hair too large. The 44mm is about as large as I dare to go (for now).
-
@Anesthetist …and I can’t give you the compliment for a great watch without guiding you down this path…

I’ve been very pleased with my straps from him. Enjoy or don’t…but seeing how you’ve led me down a few paths

-
@Anesthetist nice! PAM-005 or is that the newer model?
-
I was in Melbourne today, and I dropped by the IWC boutique to take a look at the new Portugieser in Ceratanium.

I like the aesthetic, it looks very contemporary on a rubber strap, and it's very light.
Unfortunately, the legibility isn't great. The Omega Seamaster in black on black ceramic is clearer because there's a mixture of matt and gloss finishes, along with different textures. I think that the IWC needs a less reflective dial.
To be fair, I was feeling the after-effects of dilating eye drops, and my vision wasn't entirely back to normal it might look better next time.

@goosehd @Anesthetist Always great to see fellow Paneristies in this thread!
Are you familiar with the strap maker Kevin 'ADEEOS' Rogers?
It was the discovery of his passion to make the perfect ammo strap for his Panerai that got me into wanting to own a Panerai watch.

-
Thanks for sharing @IH-GARY
Kev seemed like quite the character, and the straps look beautiful. Do you know if they still sell them or something similar?
-
@Bridger Cheers! Sadly Kev is no longer with us and his straps have become hard to come by, but do occasionally pop up for sale on the relevant forums.
Check out UK strap maker Cordes, he also makes Ammo straps.
-
@IH-GARY yes, I saw his obituary when I googled him. I suspect he lived a colourful life.
What I like about leather Panerai straps is the big wedge-shaped steel buckle. They complement over-sized tool watches.
-

I might wear the G-Shock today

It's a safe space @AdamJ - the forum welcomes diversity

Plus, you will know about U2's latest album before all of us!
