I'd agree with you- that looks like a perfect slim straight fitting jean.  Glad you found the right fit for your body, since the IH 21 oz denim is wonderful stuff and will only get better with age.  You think you like them now, just wait…

After about a year of thinking it over I finally joined the 21oz army.  Took the measurements of my favorite pair of RRLs.  Was a bit nervous because of the super slim moniker, but damn if they don't fit great.  I'm 6'1" and 250-255 depending on the day.  Been wearing them since Wednesday when I got them, and today my brothers doberman jumped on me with muddy paws….....wabi sabi I guess.

Great fit! Nice honeycombs forming too. New jeans tolerate a lot of dirt. Let them dry and brush off any crap after. Wash 'em when they smell bad [emoji28]

Thanks guys.  Its been said before and I'm not the last to probably say but damn if the 21 oz fabric isn't great right from the start.  @Matty123 I am a size 38 in this cut.

If I was liking the 777S-21 fit in the legs, but the jeans were too tight in the top block, would the 555-01 be the fit I'm looking for?

I would say absolutely,but I'm,self appointed,President of the 555 Fan Club. I do have some 777s so I kind of feel qualified to answer your question.

People are saying this has a higher rise than the 666, but going with a Tag 33 (waist 35) it has a lower rise than my 666D Tag 36 (also waist 35). I'm just concerned about a sagging butt area.

I get a little bit of that. One of my favorite sayings is "Everything in life is a trade off" You have to decide which aspect is most important to you and what you can or can't live with.

777 has a lower rise than 666, and much lower than 555.  If you want a slimmer leg all the way through, with a pretty fitted top-block, and a high rise, 555 will be good.  Self Edge's 301 cut has a much more relaxed top block, and a medium/low rise, closer to the 777. I find that higher rises suit my body better, and sag less, for the most part.  But I have a lot more hips, thighs, and butt than most men.  The ideal cut really depends on your body shape.
