Hello Everyone,
I am Parker and I am from the USA. I have been into raw denim for about 5 years now. I just purchased a pair of the IH-634S-21ib recently. I am waiting to wear them because I am currently competing for my first time in the indigo invitational with a pair of Left Field 18oz Collect mills slubs in the greaser fit. I plan to wear my Iron Hearts after the competition is done or maybe for the competition next year. I am also interested in the UHR jeans but as of now I cant justify another jeans purchase with the invitational going on. I own a couple Iron Heart Tops as well one is the IHSH-298-NAV and the other is a IHSH-312-IND that I scored of ebay.

Quite an experience for the past two months, not really a smart learning curve, but lesson learned.
This is pretty standard my friend. No need to feel dumb. In fact it took me a lot longer than that. And after 9 years of wearing IH, my tastes have changed three times too. So I've been through all that more than once ::)

My name is Paul and am signing in from Washington state in the US. I wanted to introduce myself since I've been browsing the forum off and on over the last year without saying much. Really been enjoying the forum and probably lurking more frequently lately.
I'm not sure when I first became aware of iron heart, but made my first purchase a little more than a year ago. I'm in my mid-fortys and glad to find jeans well-made that fit well and are a joy to wear. My go-to fit is 888 at the moment. I have that fit in the SLB and 21OD. My first purchase was the 634XHS, which has taken its place in the closet during the XHS "off season"…ie summer. I also have a pair of 555S-21 which are sharing the primary wear time with the 888s this month. All of which work perfectly well paired with my IHSH-297 or IHSH-30 when the temperature is more appropriate! -

@Mark D Welcome. Is that the Kersey western? I've got the work version if so, and that fabric is amazing. Also looking forward to cooler weather so I can wear all my heavyweight IH stuff!

Concerning Iron Heart, I own some shirts and since there is not so much workwear shops in my area (I live near Geneva, Switzerland), it's kinda difficult to find things to try on and buy directly so thanks to you the IH team to provide us the good stuff

Both is actually a good call. They are very different denim and you’d be set up for the while year with those two.
I realise jeans are tricky to buy online, but the crew at IHUK really are experts at working this stuff out, and this forum is a treasure trove of knowledge and experience.
What kind of cut do you normally like?

You want taper, the 777 is a better option…..

If you have a pair of slim tapered jeans that fit especially well, then follow the video guide on the website (just go to a 777 product) and take all the measurements. You can post them here and ask for advice, send them to the shop, or work it out yourself. Or all three to cover your bases.

Thank you for the advice neph93, I have some slim tapered jeans yes, especially the one I have for the Indigo Invitational.
I will take measurements and check on the website. Also I'll have to read all the pages from the differents cut and weights before engaging myself in a purchase
