I used to live near Machida pre-covid (now I live in Okinawa) and would spend a lot of time in Tokyo. I really liked the SG Club near Shibuya. A very classy place to get a nice cocktail.
A few years ago my wife and I took a road trip and stopped in Kojima. Really love the atmosphere of that town. I’d like to retire somewhere near the Seto Inland Sea.

Me too! Since I came back from Japan some weeks ago we are more and more thinking about buying a house in Japan

In Haneda waiting for flight to Okayama. Magnificent view of Fuji san as we came over Japan, unfortunately the ice crystals on the plane window threw the iPhone focus off, but you all know what it she looks like.
Within 20 minutes of landing here, we both felt uplifted. Being here and interacting with airline/airport staff who actually give a shit is so nice.......

A lovely dinner (this was some of the starters...)with Sarina and family.....
And Keat was rather partial to the large pink prawn that I gave him with a box full of other mixed lures (Mia plays with the squidgy 3d stickers Paula send her).....
