IHSH-445-IND - 10oz Dobby Cloth Short Sleeve Mechanic Shirt - Indigo
Made from a 10oz indigo/black Japanese dobby-woven cloth, this short-sleeved shirt pairs a unique made-to-fade fabric with the retro styling of our mechanic cut.
Dobby weaving is a traditional technique dating back to the mid-1800s. By attaching a piece of equipment known as a “dobby” to the loom, the yarns can be manipulated during the weave to create a thicker, heavily textured fabric. Unlike our all-indigo dobby cloths, this fabric is woven with an indigo rope-dyed warp yarn and a black sulphur-dyed weft,. Since the fabric’s three-dimensional surface exposes more edges than a twill or plain weave, you can expect high-contrast electric blue fading that highlights the intricate geometric texture.
Bearing all the hallmarks of our traditional mechanic cut, this model provides a relaxed, well-ventilated fit — with features including snap fastenings, flap-down chest pockets, a straight hem, split seam gussets, and internal red bobbin thread for a pop of colour.

all over this one

This one is a beauty! Gonna have to lock it down!
-
@tody always +1
this one caught my eye as well
-
with the two ripstops from last year, its only missing a khaki version to round out the mechanic shirts. +1 for whipcord version
-spoke too soon with 446 in the collection. no branding would be great on that one
-
I have last year's 5oz Dobby long sleeve (IHSH-413-IND) and am happy to see this one is 10oz. Still not sure I like the drape of the cloth, or how much ironing it needs after a wash, but a heavier fabric likely helps with those quirks.
-
This will be an instant cop. Perfect for my new job!
-
Hi guys any estimation when this one drops? Thanks
-
@Alex no rush! Just making sure I’m planning wisely
thanks for the quick reply -
@tody
But this blue shirt has black!

Been wanting a new collard short sleeve for the golf course or do I go a completely different direction and wait for the Dobby CPO instead or even wait for the 409.
Decisions, decisions -
@Rustygate37 short sleeve for the golf course definitely, long sleeves would be hard work!
-
@AdamJ oh yeah, I won’t be wearing a
CPO out to golf. Sorry, didn’t really word the original comment too well. Reality is a can afford all 3 but not if they all come in within 4 weeks of each other.
If push comes to shove I’d take the Dobby CPO but if there’s some decent spacing between drops I’d go for all 3, although I am definitely lacking a decent short sleeve in my wardrobe.
Plenty of time to work it out.
Thinking out loud is all, cheers
