IH-831-BRN - 10oz Herringbone Painter’s Pants - Brown
Our classic painter's pants, constructed from authentic 10oz Japanese herringbone twill — a fabric rooted in traditional workwear and renowned for the durability provided by its distinctive zig-zag weave. Woven with uneven yarns to add texture and heft, this herringbone utilises sulphur-dyed yarns — so you can expect these pants to fade and evolve with subtle vintage character as you put them to work.
With features including reinforced belt loops, triple-stitch construction, multiple pockets and a tool loop, these are hardwearing and practical work pants that deliver authentic heritage style.

Loving these for a shop workpant.
-
I might give these a shot as well.
-
Love the herringbone!
-
Love the look of these!
-
@Alex will there be some painter's pants in any denim in the future? Would love some in midwight like 14oz or 16oz indigo due to the wider fit.
-
How does the fit of these compare to the other brown herringbone offerings this spring - the 748 & 749?

I have the same question, regarding the difference painters to wide work pants. Is it correct that the painters pants will be slightly less wide (and have the additional pockets and loop thingy), but otherwise quite similar?

@Tobi @samo If it helps, I've answered a similar question here: https://forum.ironheart.co.uk//post/945584
We won't know for sure until the production runs arrive and have been measured, but based on the samples that I've tried on, the wide pants definitely feel a touch roomier overall compared to the the painter and baker pants.
-
@SamD thanks, makes sense, and the linked post confirms my understanding (although I would be hard pressed to spot any difference in the cut between wide and painters pants in the comparative photo)

-
@Tobi Agree, there's not a huge difference visually, but there's enough to feel it — just a touch wider through the leg profile. We've got the samples here in the office, so I took a couple more snaps that might be more useful.
L-R: Wide pants (tag 34), Painters (tag 34), 634 (tag 33). Samples are unhemmed.

@SamD thanks for the info!

Heu, is there any stretch at the waist, or do you go true to size?
Thanks
-
@tvaillant75 it is a twill fabric and should stretch. Possibly 2-3 cm’s with time and wear.
